Michael Nordstrom joins Needham Bank as First Vice President, IT Operations

Needham Bank recently announced that Michael Nordstrom has joined the Information Technology department as First Vice President, IT Operations. Mr. Nordstrom brings over 20 years of technical experience to his new role where he will be responsible for the coordination of Needham Bank’s IT systems and staff.

From 2013 to 2021, he worked at Workers Credit Union/Workers Federal Credit Union, where his roles increased in responsibility. Most recently, he served as the Vice President – Information Technology Infrastructure where he oversaw engineering and IT service delivery departments. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Vice President – Information Technology Infrastructure, where he oversaw the IT infrastructure department with 5 direct reports, 19 physical sites and 320 internal employees.

“Michael is brining a vast set of skills to his new role,” said James Gordon, Senior Vice President – Information Technology. “His operations management makes him the perfect person to ensure that Needham Bank’s technology needs are met by the IT department.”

He has multiple industry certifications, including Cisco and ITIL and holds an Associate degree in Computer Science with a security focus from Colorado Technical University. Additionally, Mr. Nordstrom is currently attending the University of Massachusetts for his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Operations and Information Management.
