Brian A. Sutton Joins Needham Bank as Middle Market Relationship Manager

NEEDHAM,MA -- Needham Bank today announced that Brian A. Sutton of Medfield is joining the bank as a Middle Market Relationship Manager, reporting to Larry Pitman, Senior Vice-President and Team Leader, Commercial Lending. Mr. Sutton will be responsible for the evaluation, authorization or recommendation for approval of commercial loans. In this role he will advise borrowers on their financial status and provide guidance regarding methods of payments.

Mr. Sutton has extensive experience in the banking sector. Most recently he was a Middle Market Relationship Manager at TD Bank in Boston. He began his banking career at Sun Valley Bancorp in Ketchum, Idaho, in 2003 and moved back home to Massachusetts in 2009 to join Holbrook Cooperative Bank as Vice President – Workout Officer. He then joined First Commons Bank in Newton as a Commercial Loan Officer prior to working at TD.

Mr. Sutton was awarded a Masters Degree in Business Administration with distinction by the Carroll School of Business, Boston College, in 2013. His specialization was corporate finance. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at Colgate University, Hamilton, NY.

In addition to his banking experience, Mr. Sutton has an impressive record as an entrepreneur. He started three successful companies while in Idaho, including the renowned Cellar Pub restaurant in Sun Valley and Safety Bottles, LLC, where he invented, patented and distributed an improved sports utility hydration bottle for recreational purposes.

For his part, Mr. Sutton says he couldn’t be happier.

In his free time Mr. Sutton coaches youth hockey and youth lacrosse in Medfield. He also serves as a mentor for Colgate University students through their Thought into Action entrepreneurial program.
