Carrie Vargas Named SVP – Director Retail Banking

NEEDHAM, MA-- Needham Bank today announced that Carrie Vargas has joined the bank as Senior Vice President – Director Retail Banking. Reporting to Eric Morse, Executive Vice President, Ms. Vargas, a Wellesley resident, will be responsible for the overall administration and coordination of activities for Needham Bank’s nine branches. She will lead branch operational and sales activities and coordinate staff training and coaching.

Prior to Santander, Ms. Vargas worked at Citizens Bank from 1999 to 2013 in roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately rising to the position of SVP – Regional Manager, where she managed 14 branch offices in Rhode Island. Early in her career Ms. Vargas was employed by Fleet/Shawmut Bank at various Massachusetts locations.

Ms. Vargas holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Cum Laude) in Business Management from Westfield State University and also is a graduate of Babson College’s Advanced Leadership Development Program.
