Needham Bank Contributes to Wellesley High School Technology Department

WELLESLEY, MA---Needham Bank, with a Wellesley office on 458 Washington Street, and the Wellesley High School Technology Department have partnered to provide wireless hotspots to Wellesley High School students without home internet access. With this grant, Kathy Dooley, Director of Technology at Wellesley Public Schools, will now be able to create a checkout system for the wireless hotspots, which will be available for students who qualify to bring home and access the internet for school assignments.

“We are thrilled that Needham Bank has stepped up to provide this grant for our schools,” remarked Kathy Dooley, WHS Technology Director. “We have created digital learning environments to provide expanded resources for our students and get them ready for college and careers. Our one-to-one programs are offering devices for students who cannot afford them. This grant extends the services to close the digital divide by providing Internet access for students who do not have access from home. This is going to be an incredible resource for our students who qualify.”

In addition to this donation, Needham Bank has also recently supported the Wellesley Public School’s METCO Program, as well as provided the schools with a technology-based Financial Literacy program.
