NEEDHAM, MA---As a community first institution, Needham Bank provides support to over 300 organizations a year and strives to create meaningful partnerships with each of them. To further support that mission, Wednesday, November 15th, Needham Bank invited local nonprofit partners to their Needham campus for a unique workshop. The seminar was produced by Jenn Bender, from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, titled Engaging Your Team: Communicating Across Generations.

“As soon as we learned about the mission of the Institute, we knew there were opportunities to form a partnership,” remarked Eric Morse, Executive Vice President of Needham Bank. “This is the perfect example of what we try to emulate every day with our community partnerships, working together to help provide value and resources to each other. The workshop was successful in spreading the word about The Institute’s incredible work while also bettering our communities by strengthening the knowledge base of the organizations we support and their leadership.”

The Institute for Nonprofit Practice offers award-winning certificate programs in partnership with the Tisch College at Tufts University designed for nonprofit and public sector executives, managers and emerging leaders. Taught by exemplary and accomplished practicing executives, the Core Certificate Program provides leaders with the comprehensive tools, networks, and strategies they need to ensure organizational excellence and drive social change.

“It was a real pleasure to partner with Needham Bank to offer its community partners a special workshop on communicating across generations,” commented Jenn Bender, Chief Operating Officer of the Institute for Nonprofit Practice. “Like the bank, the Institute for Nonprofit Practice is committed to supporting community organizations by addressing critical needs. Our certificate programs help leaders strengthen their skills, confidence, and networks and in turn, create more effective and sustainable nonprofit organizations.”

Needham Bank and The Institute for Nonprofit Practice will continue to build on their partnership and hope to offer additional workshops in 2018.
