She brings deep experience; extraordinary market knowledge; and unbridled enthusiasm to this important role. It gives me great pleasure to welcome her to the Needham Bank team.”

Ms. Marryat is a 1984 graduate of the University of Rhode Island (BS – Business Administration). She subsequently received an MBA from Simmons University’s Graduate School of Management in 1990.

Ms. Marryat began her banking career at Quincy Savings, where she rapidly advanced through a series of positions of increased responsibility, becoming Vice President and Marketing Director in 1994. She then held senior marketing and ecommerce positions at Plymouth Savings Bank and Cambridge Savings Bank, where she was named Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in 2007.

In 2010 Ms. Marryat was named Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Blue Hills Bank. Among her many achievements in that role Ms. Marryat successfully rebranded Hyde Park Savings Bank to Blue Hills Bank and greatly increased Blue Hill’s brand recognition across the Greater Boston area.

According to Mr. Morse, the recent acquisition of Blue Hills by Rockland Trust created a perfect opportunity to recruit Ms. Marryat and acquire a dynamic marketing talent as Needham Bank looks to continue to grow.

“Needham Bank has an excellent reputation not only in banking circles, but more widely in the business world,” commented Ms. Marryat. “Their commitment to their customers and to the communities they serve is without equal. I look forward to implementing the bank’s marketing programs and working with my team.”

Outside of her work life, Ms. Marryat is active in the community. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Pilgrim Hall Museum in Plymouth as well as on the program committee of the New England Financial Marketing Association. Ms. Marryat recently stepped down as the Chair of Hyde Park’s Menino YMCA Board of Advisors, an organization she served for many years. In 2015 the trade publication Banker & Tradesman named her as one of its “Women of Fire”.
