Scott Tower joins Needham Bank as Vice President, C&I Underwriting Team Leader

Needham Bank announced that Scott Tower joined the Commercial and Industrial lending team as vice president, C&I underwriting team leader. Mr. Tower will be responsible for managing the C&I credit underwriting function, prioritizing the C&I loan pipeline, analyzing and monitoring the credit worthiness of customers, and developing and managing a team of credit analysts.

With over 25 years of commercial credit experience, Mr. Tower was most recently vice president, credit manager at The Cooperative Bank. From 2015 to 2021, he managed commercial loan underwriting, performed credit and loan review analysis, and implemented a new credit administration system. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant vice president – controlled loan division, portfolio manager for Rockland Trust.

“Scott has extensive experience in the banking sector and exhibits impressive qualities that make him extremely qualified to perform well in his new role,” said Brian Sutton, senior vice president, director middle market. “He will be a great addition to our team.”

A resident of Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Tower holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Boston University and an MBA in finance from Bentley College.
